On January 25, 2024, at 6:30 PM, the New Jersey Historical Commission @newjerseyhistory African American History Program will host Black and Latinx LGBTQI histories in New Jersey. 

This evening webinar will feature: 
Kristyn Scorsone: PhD Candidate at Rutgers Rutgers University - Newark and Queer Newark Oral History Project 
Christina Strasburger: Co-founder of the Queer Newark Oral History Project and Co-organizer of the Teaching Against Erasure program at Rutgers University - Newark 
Yamil Avivi, PhD: Penn State Research Postdoctoral Fellow in Latina/o/e/x History and author of Queering Political Economy in Neoliberal Ironbound Newark: Subjectivity and Spacemaking among Brazilian Queer Immigrant Men 
The panel will be moderated by Noelle Lorraine Williams, Director of the African American History Program and the New Jersey Black Heritage Trail.
