Phoenix Sherling
Phoenix Sherling (they/he) is a history MA student at Rutgers Newark specializing in queer history, music history, labor history, and the ways they intersect. He moved to Newark last year from Indiana, where he grew up and attended undergrad at IU Bloomington. They have a BA in history and in classical civilizations, and hope to continue their academic career and work with the QNOHP at Rutgers after finishing their master’s degree. He is passionate about documenting queer history for the good of humanity as well as the good of future scholars of queer history. They live in Newark with their partner and cat, and are looking forward to continuing to work with and for the queer community served by the Project!
