Phoenix Sherling (they/he) is a history MA student at Rutgers Newark specializing in queer history, music history, labor history, and the ways they intersect. He moved to Newark last year from Indiana, where he grew up and attended undergrad at IU Bloomington. They have a BA in history and in classical civilizations, and hope to continue their academic career and work with the QNOHP at Rutgers after finishing their master’s degree. Kiyan Williams is a multidisciplinary artist from Newark, NJ who works fluidly across sculpture, performance, and video. Kiyan graduated from Science Park High School and went on to earn a BA with honors from Stanford University and an MFA in Visual Art from Columbia University. Their work has been exhibited at SculptureCenter, The Jewish Museum, Brooklyn Museum, and The Shed.
