Join the Queer Newark Oral History Project on June 22nd at 5PM (ET) for a virtual discussion with local educators about the implementation of the mandate as well as resources and ways to incorporate local history into classrooms.Panelists: Reginald Bledsoe, Melissa Mott, Alex Rosado-Torres, Danielle Scott and alum Lana Vercellino. Moderated by Kristyn Scorsone.

We will be hosting four individual workshops: (1) on introductory oral history methods and practice; (2) on creating oral history recordings for long-term preservation; (3) on trauma informed interviewing; and (4) on putting oral history in action.

This special coming out day event will include a panel discussion moderated by Cheryl Clarke, performances by Empress Vizcaya, Travis Love, Daryl Stewart, and the presentation of student awards. Free and open to all.
